Our goal is to give you and your little ones an even start in life and school.    Even Start is a new program in Cheatham County. It is partially funded by a federal grant to help parents get an even start in the job market and prepare young children  socially, emotionally, and academically for school.      It is simple: we help you finish your education, learn to be more effective parents, and get on the road to success.  We do this  by providing educational care for your children, parenting classes, home assistance and more.       Qualifications: Parent must not have a high school diploma or GED. Must have at least one child 0-3 years old. Must begin or be enrolled in Adult High School, GED, ESOL or public high school. Must attend information parent sessions.     What we offer: We help you complete your education. We help you find a job. We help you with free childcare for children 0-3. We help you with preschool placement for children 3-5. We help you with parenting sessions. We help you with home assistance.
